Fine line · botanical
Hair-thin linework and botanical detail from Tuba, the delicate, considered end of the craft, including a calm first tattoo done properly.
Fine line is tattooing stripped back to a single clean line and the confidence to place it once. Botanical studies, delicate script and small, precise pieces that sit like jewellery rather than shouting for attention. Done well it is quietly striking, and there is nowhere to hide, which is exactly why it takes a steady, patient hand.
It is a popular choice for a first tattoo, and at THRONE it is treated with the same care as any large piece: a custom drawing, the right placement, and an honest word about longevity. Very thin lines on high-movement spots soften over time, so part of the work is choosing where a design will still look like itself in years to come.

Before you book
Is fine line more likely to fade than bolder work?
Very fine lines can soften sooner than heavy ones, especially on fingers, feet and other high-movement areas. The answer is placement and a little restraint in the design, both of which we sort at the consultation.
Can I get delicate lettering that stays readable?
Yes, within reason. Extremely small text can blur as it settles, so we will choose a size and spot that keeps it crisp for the long run rather than just on the day.
It is my first tattoo and I am nervous. What should I expect?
A calm, unhurried appointment. You will see the design first, agree the placement on your skin, and nothing begins until you are ready. First tattoos are a big part of what we do here.
Consultations are free. Bring a reference, a story, or nothing at all.
